Obsessions Of The Week - 1/31/14
Aaaaaaaand we're back. Sorry for the delay, I broke my ankle and stuff. Here's what I've been loving this week.
Old Friend - Sea Wolf
It's as simple as this: I've been seeing their name everywhere, so I finally decided to check them out. Wasn't disappointed. I even put them on a few new playlists, a high honor in my world. I like this whole Sea Wolf album, but it's the first track that really hooked me. Check 'em out if you haven't already.

Give Me Back My Hometown - Eric Church
Chief was a phenomenal album, and I'm glad Eric Church took his time with the follow up. I wasn't a huge fan of the first single he released, The Outsiders, but this one hits the nail on the head. It's a little darker and only slightly pales in comparison to his mega hit, "Springsteen". Can't wait to hear the rest of the record.

STILL OBSESSED WITH: The Preacher's Wife Soundtrack
The Preacher's Wife (1996) might not have been an instant classic, but it's soundtrack sure was. Whitney Houston on every track? Uh yeah, amazing. I've seen the movie several times, but what I remember most are the songs. My little 8 year old self wore this cd OUT after my dad bought it (probably at The Family Christian Bookstore). I had NO business trying to match pitch with Whitney on "I Believe In You and Me", but that didn't stop me. This album has always been a favorite, but when I caught my roommate listening to Whitney's Greatest Hits earlier this week, I felt the need to dig it back up. Other faves include "I Go To The Rock" and "You Were Loved". RIP Whitney.
