“If I Had Another Heart” - Randy Rogers Band
Texas Country Y’all. With the lyric, “If I had another heart, I’d let you break that one too”, this song belongs in the sad playlist. It was co-written by one of my favorite Texans, and a close family friend, Radney Foster. Randy Rogers Band continually puts out great music and flies a bit under the radar, outside of the great state of Texas. I've seen them play a stripped down set in the SiriusXM Music City Theater, but never a full show. I'm looking forward to catching them soon.

Drink You Away – Justin Timberlake
LAST WEEK I GOT TO MEET JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, which will be a blog post all on it’s own. But, I was also reminded of this song on his album The 20/20 Experience: Part 2. While he was in the studio with us, Storme brought up the fact that this could’ve been a country song, and I have to agree.
I can’t drink you away
I’ve tried Jack, I’ve tried Jim, I’ve tried all of their friends
But I can’t drink you away
All these rocks, I can’t swim out of this skin I'm living in, say
Now tell me, baby, don't they make a medicine for heart break
This song could’ve been cut by Luke Bryan, Eric Church, anyone in current country music… or even a legend. I’m pretty satisfied with JT’s version though.

STILL OBSESSED WITH: Shania Twain
What girl growing up in the 90’s DIDN’T want to be Shania Twain? She had great hair, awesome clothes, and she included horses and dogs on her album covers. Dare I say she’s the Canadian Stevie Nicks? I’ve been rocking her “The Woman In Me” album all week, and truthfully, ever since it’s release in 1995 (when I was 7). Truthfully, I had no idea what her songs were talking about when I was younger, but I can fully appreciate them now. "That Don't Impress Me Much" is a phrase I use at least once a week.
